Elon Musk Says Tesla FSD 10.13 Beta Will Handle The Road With 'Zero Map Data'

Elon Musk said on Sunday that the maker of Full Self-driving electric vehicles (FSD) Beta version 10.13 will allow its cars to navigate routes where no maps are available.

What Happened: The billionaire entrepreneur says FSD Beta 10.12.2 expands to 100,000 cars and version 10.13 will start handling roads with "no map data at all."

Version 10.13 will also be able to smooth out crossing controls, especially long left, Musk wrote in a tweet. “The last point is a big deal. Within months, FSD should be able to drive to GPS points with zero map data,” Musk wrote in a tweet. Tesla has significantly increased its beta program offerings to customers. The EV maker in April said it had rolled out a full self-driving beta software program to more than 100,000 customers in the United States.

The Musk-led company first started beta testing FSD in late 2020 among a select group of customers known as beta testers.

Musk recently said he believes Tesla is likely to actualize the capabilities of its Level-4 FSD system next year, pushing back the timeline again.

The Level-4 system implies the vehicle can handle all aspects of driving without human intervention. Tesla is currently at Level 2.

Elon Musk Mengatakan Tesla FSD 10.13 Beta Akan Menangani Jalan Dengan 'Data Peta Nol'

Wall Street Stocks Fall After Latest US Jobs Data Beats Expectations

Wall Street's three major stock indexes fell at the close of trading Friday (3/6). Wall Street shares weakened after solid jobs report data in the United States (US) supported hopes for a pause in the Federal Reserve's aggressive policy tightening needed to curb high inflation.

Friday (3/6), the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 348.58 points or 1.05% to 32,899.7. Then, the S&P 500 index fell 68.28 points, or 1.63%, to 4,108.54 and the Nasdaq Composite index fell 304.16 points, or 2.47%, to 12,012.73.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq led Wall Street's declines, tumbling 2.47% as shares of Apple Inc and Tesla Inc plunged.

Earlier, a US Department of Labor report showed nonfarm payrolls rose by 390,000 jobs last month and wages grew. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate remained steady at 3.6%.

The data exceeded analyst estimates. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast that nonfarm payrolls would rise by 325,000 jobs.

Looking at the convincing US jobs report for the current state of the economy, investors are focusing primarily on its potential influence on central bank policy.

"The market is trying to funnel its response through what the Fed may or may not do," said Nela Richardson, chief economist at ADP.

He himself estimates that the market will continue to fluctuate as a result of the uncertainty surrounding interest rates and inflation.

Shawn Snyder, chief investment strategist at Citi Personal Wealth Management, sees the solid US jobs report as a double-edged sword.

This tells us that the US economy is in pretty good shape and this is good news.

"But if you look at it in the context of what it means for the Federal Reserve and monetary policy tightening, it likely makes them more confident that they can continue to tighten," he said.

Markets are fully pricing in that 50 basis point rate hikes by the Fed will take place in June and July.

During the week, the S&P 500 was down 1.2%, while the Nasdaq was down 0.98% and the Dow was down 0.94%.

Volatility has gripped Wall Street in recent weeks as investors debate whether the market has bottomed against a backdrop of some hawkish comments from Fed officials and data suggesting inflation may have peaked.

"For now, the economy looks fine. And the labor market signaling the real economy on Main Street looks very solid," said Richardson at ADP.

Starting to move steadily, this is the Bitcoin price projection in the future

The crypto asset market is getting a breath of fresh air after successfully coming out of the pressure in the past week. Referring to Coinmarketcap, the price of Bitcoin on Friday (3/6) at 13.00 WIB was at US$ 30,534.99 per BTC or strengthened 6% in the last seven days.

While Ethereum and Binance Coin also carve a similar trend. Noted, Ethereum is currently at US $ 1,822.75 per ETH or up 5.11%. Then Binance Coin has also strengthened 4.73% in the past week to US $ 307.34 per BNB.

Regarding market movements in the first of June 2022, Luno Indonesia Country Manager Jay Jayawijayaningtiyas said, Bitcoin's promising performance in a week shows its dominance as the blue-chip crypto asset of choice for investors, as evidenced by its success in capturing nearly 46% crypto market share.

“Right now the Fear and Greed Index is still at the Extreme Fear level. One thing that is interesting this week, in line with Bitcoin's dominance in the spot / daily market, interest in the derivatives market for Bitcoin futures contracts also continues to grow to reach 63%," said Jay in a written statement, Friday (3/6).

Luno and Arcane Research added that the month of May got off to a bad start due to the Luna crash and the turmoil in financial markets, so most crypto assets fell by double-digit percentage points in a few days. However, this sharp decline only lasted for a few days, and market conditions began to stabilize in the middle of the month, even having rebounded in the last few days.

This is also reflected in the Fear and Greed index, which is now at 16, up from 12 last week. However, the index has been in the extreme fear zone for most of May, with 26 consecutive days in the extreme fear zone – its longest since April 2020.

“This prolonged period of negative market sentiment is not unusual, but usually, these times will be interrupted by rising sentiment. It can be concluded, market participants have no optimism at all in May,” added Luno and Arcane Research.

From a technical point of view, in the past week, the price of bitcoin is still tied in a trading range between US$ 29,000 and US$ 30,500. However, Luno and Arcane Research estimates that after several times breaking through the US$ 30,500 level, Bitcoin's resistance level will be at US$ 34,500 with a support level of US$ 29,000.

Asian Stocks Rise in Friday's Trading

Asian stocks opened higher on Friday (3/6) morning trading. At 8:20 a.m. EDT, the Nikkei 225 index was up 252.23 points, or 0.92%, to 27,771.32, the Kospi was up 5.78 points, or 0.25%, to 2,665.27, the ASX 200 was up 54.26 points, or 0.75%. to 7,229.70, the Straits Times rose 15.43 points, or 0.50%, to 3,243.11 and Malaysia's FTSE rose 0.22 points, or 0.01%, to 1,550.12.

Asian stocks rose after US stocks snapped two days of declines ahead of the key jobs report as traders weighed the outlook for inflation and growth.

Stocks in Japan, Korea and Australia rose. Markets in Hong Kong and China were closed, with officials pledging to implement government policies to stimulate the economy.

Citing Bloomberg, investors remain nervous as some fear the pace of US monetary tightening could plunge the country's economy into recession.

The May employment report due on Friday (3/6) local time will likely show the lowest job gain since April 2021, along with a decline in average hourly growth, according to Bloomberg economists.

"We really just need more data, not a single data point, not just jobs data," Carol Schleif, deputy chief investment officer at BMO Family Office LLC told Bloomberg.

"The range of potential yields is wider than ever. We think you're going to see a lot of volatility throughout the summer."

Fed Deputy Governor Lael Brainard said it was difficult to see the case for a pause in rate hikes in September and that 0.5% hikes in June and July seemed reasonable.
